Professional/ engineering services from qualified firms or individuals for the planning, design, and construction implementation of broadband facilities in a specified portion of the County in accordance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: market assessment and needs assessment; mapping and design of system; plan for implementation of plan and design; and assistance related matters. Hinds County encourages minority, women, and small business firms to submit a proposal. The County will evaluate submittals from qualified respondents and make its selection on the basis of information that appears best to serve the interest of Hinds County. Upon completing the selection process, contract negotiations will proceed with the most highly qualified respondent. In the event that a contract cannot be negotiated with the most highly qualified respondent, negotiations will continue in order of qualification. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and waive any informalities. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
