The City of Milpitas ("City") Planning Department is seeking written submissions to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for selection of a Consultant to prepare the Milpitas Main Street Sense of Place Plan ("Plan"), which will complement the Milpitas Gateway/Main Street Specific Plan, and prepare associated reports necessary to support the adoption of the Plan. The City anticipates selecting one (1) firm to provide consulting services, including planning, landscaping, and transportation expertise, whose qualifications demonstrate they are the most qualified, responsive and advantageous to the City. The Consultant will be responsible for working with City staff in various departments in the preparation and design of the Plan. Consultants may be an all-in-one services provider or may manage qualified sub-consultants as team members who are responsible to the selected primary Consultant or may collaborate with separate consultants reporting to the City. The City is seeking to complete the Plan and bring it forward for Planning Commission and City Council review within 18 months of the effective date of a contract, ideally, and in no case more than 24 months from such date. The City is seeking a five-year agreement. The term of the agreement will be from to be determined plus two years, unless earlier terminated. The City reserves the right to review the successful Proposer's performance at the end of each year and cancel all or part of the agreement.
