Site work for a water / sewer project in Paducah, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Est. Value: $ 12,000,000.00 Pre-Qualification: Yes Pre-qualification information required herein shall be submitted at this meeting. Prospective Bidders shall provide a Pre-Bid Submittal at the Pre-Bid Conference containing the following information: 1. Evidence of similar previous projects of at least $5 million value completed in the previous 10 years, including detailed description, bid amount, final contract amount, scheduled time of completion, actual time of completion, Owner's contact information, and Engineer's contact information. 2. Description of any lawsuits or claims the Bidder has been party to in the previous 10 years including resolution. 3. Number of employees directly employed by the Bidder. 4. Resumes or description of the proposed Project Manager and Project Superintendent including name, relevant experience, and employment history with the Bidder. 5. A statement by the Bidder stating the Bidder will directly perform all concrete forming and placement. If the Bidder elects to subcontract concrete forming and placement, the Bidder shall submit evidence of two previous projects the selected subcontractor has provided concrete forming and placement services for the Bidder. The Bidder shall submit evidence that the concrete forming and placement subcontractors have provided concrete and forming services on five previous water and wastewater projects with a minimum of 1,000 C.Y. of concrete placed for each project. The work involved is in one (1) contract and consists of the following generally described work: CONTRACT 23-01 COMBINED SEWER SCREENING FACILITIES AND OUTFALL o New Cast in Place Concrete Screening Structure o New Cast in Place Concrete Junction Boxes o Two (2) New Fine Screens and Two (2) Screenings Conveyors o New 54-inch Electromagnetic Flow Meter and Pit o Approximately 842 L.F. of 30-inch PVC Sewer o Approximately 503 L.F. of 54-inch Spiralweld Pipe o Approximately 961 L.F. of 72-inch Spiralweld Pipe o Four (4) 6'-0" Precast Manholes. The allotted time for construction of Contract 23-01 is 540 calendar days; liquidated damages for non-completion are $1,000 per calendar day. The successful bidder or bidders shall be required to furnish both an acceptable performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified best bidder or bidders to such extent as may be necessary. No bidder may withdraw his bid for 90 days, while the Owner considers the bids. Mutually agreed upon time extensions may be made if necessary. Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority and/or by a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Neither the United States nor any of its departments, agencies or employees is or will be a party to this Invitation for Bids or any resulting contract. This procurement will be subject to regulations contained in 40 CFR Part 31.36 or with DOW Procurement Guidance with the exception of the Davis-Bacon Act. ALL BIDDERS must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act and 40 CFR 31.36 L (3, 4 & 6). ALL BIDDERS must comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 as amended, which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin. ALL BIDDERS, Contractor/Subcontractor will comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the time tables and goal set forth in 41 CFR 60-4 if applicable to the area of the project.
