THE PROJECT SCOPE CONSISTS OF: o Stahl Lane - Approximately 3250 feet of Full Width Double Chip Seal and approximately 1100 feet Full Depth Reconstruction. Approximately 2060 SF pavement repair and 472 SF pavement radius widening at the intersection with FM 1863. o Heimer Cove - Pavement Widening, Full Width Double Chip seal and Rehabilitation & overlay of the Cul-De-Sac o Deerfield Terrace - Edge Repair and Chip Seal from Bulverde Hills Dr to High Ridge Dr o Casey Road - Cross culvert installation on Casey Road at Bulverde Rd o Bulverde Right Turn Lane - Pavement Widening to add a Right Turn Lane o Bulverde Road at Bulverde Lane - Traffic shift with pavement marking adjustments and sight distance improvement for Bulverde Lane o Bulverde Safety Shoulder - 500 feet of Shoulder Widening (BID ALTERNATE 1) The deadline to ask questions is 6/25/2024 2:00 PM CST Please direct all questions related to the design of this Project to the Q&A Section. Bids will be received for a single prime contract and a Bid Alternate 1. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Texas Labor Rates wage rules shall apply. The Construction of 2024 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM is expected to take 80 working days based on Standard Workweek. Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bid Bond on a state or national bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the possible total of the bid submitted, payable without recourse to the City of Bulverde, Texas, or an acceptable bid bond for the same amount from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of the contract. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, a Payment Bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, from a surety authorized under the laws of the State of Texas to act as a surety on bonds for principals within ten (10) days after the notice of award of the contract The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to select the bid best suited to the Owner's best interest. The successful contractor must have completed a minimum of three similar projects within the last five years.
