2024 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROGRAM TOWN OF FREEDOM SAUK COUNTY, WISCONSIN The work for which Bids are requested includes: Proposal 1: Hot Mixed Asphalt (HMA) wedging and patching of approximately 350 tons on various portions of Township roads including Klien Rd, Camp Rd and other locations to be determined by the Town. Bids shall be based on wedging profile distortion and/or overlaying deteriorated pavement utilizing 5 LT 58-28 S Asphalt Mix. Proposal 1 shall provide a unit price per ton including sweeping and tack coat on existing surfaces in wedge areas. Bids shall include the minimum quantity threshold for the unit price provided and include a proposed date range for completion of the work. Proposal 2: Single Chip Seal of Town road including Freedom Rd from Happy Hill Rd north approximately 0.6 miles. Proposals shall include price options for aggregate materials including crushed limestone, crushed quartzite and screened river stone. Chip seal shall utilize PG 58-28, 5% cutback asphalt ionically compatible with selected aggregate material. Proposals shall include a unit price for Town consideration of additional work at unnamed locations in the Township. Proposals shall include a date range for completion of the work to be coordinated with work under other proposals. Chip seal proposals will not be accepted with completion dates later than September 1, 2024. Proposal 3: Crack sealing consisting of 3 /4-inch deep crack routing, air lance and combination reservoir fill with 3-inch overband with hot rubber modified asphalt. Proposals utilizing this process shall be provided on a cost per road segment. Work locations include but are not limited to Weinke Road, Maple Hill Road, Freedom Road and Diamond Hill Rd. Proposals consisting of alternative process and materials will be considered. Work shall be complete no later than September 1, 2024. Interested bidders may submit bids for each proposal or in combination. No bid proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a current certificate of insurance. The Town reserves the right to reduce the total scope of work as needed to fit the available budget. Materials and workmanship shall be supplied and performed in accordance with the latest edition of the State of Wisconsin Standard Specifications for Highway & Bridge Construction.
