The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is soliciting electronic bids for maintenance of a section of Lex Lane Road on State Game Lands (SGL) #329. The scope of the project includes clearing and grubbing the road corridor, installing drainage pipes, road surface preparation, installation of geotextile and geogrid and roadway construction with AASHTO #1 stone and base material. --This project involves the maintenance of a 6,440-feet (1.22-miles) long section of Lex Lane on State Game Lands (SGL) #329. The project includes clearing and grubbing the road corridor, grading, pipe installation, road construction with layers ofstone and related work. Job Location- SGL #329 is located in north central Schuylkill County. The east end of the project (Sta. 0+00) is located approximately 1/2-mile west of the intersection of Lex Lane and Reservoir Road in Union Township at the game lands boundary. The road stretches west into state game lands. The site is owned by the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC). When bidding, amount bid should be in dollars and cents-----no fractions of a cent will be accepted. Access to the work site is from the east using a public road (Reservoir Road). Th east end ofthe project (Sta. 0+00) is at the end of the public road. There is a PGC parking area at the east end of the project. Work shall progress in a linear fashion and shall include pipe installations, French Mattress construction, base material placement, grading and rolling. Disturbed areas adjacent to the new pipe installations shall be immediately stabilized with seed, lime, fertilizer and mulch. The pipe installations shall be conducted during non-flow conditions. Earthwork at the inlets and outlets shall be completed immediately after installation ofthe new drainage pipes.
