The County will select one firm or individual to perform these services. The Hendry County BOCC desires to improve and rehabilitate the Harlem Academy. General improvements desired include necessary rehabilitation and/or upgrades to the buildings and its infrastructure. The selected consultant will prepare architectural drawings consisting of existing building conditions, interior build-outs, and restoration of the facilities. Additional services may be needed if upon inspections deficiencies are found. The general objective is for one selected consultant to provide historical rehabilitation, architectural and structural engineering services along with engineering design and permitting services in order to develop a set of construction plans, and bid documents. The consultant will also be selected to provide construction engineering inspection services during construction and quality acceptance reviews of all work associated with the design and permitted plans and any associated improvements. Work will include: architectural services; historical rehabilitation, engineering design services, engineering evaluation, construction plan preparation, construction bid documents, construction engineering inspection services, related to the repair and renovation of the facility as a whole. A detailed and defined scope will be outlined in each STA to follow the pre-construction phase of the evaluation process. All information provided by the consultant will be reviewed by the County staff. The consultant will be expected to rectify any omissions and make such changes as deemed appropriate at no additional cost. This work will be awarded to the selected contractor via a Supplemental Task Authorization (STA) to the master contract Hendry County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer.
