As of July 24, 2024, this project has been awarded to a general contractor. A firm construction timeline has not been established; however, construction could begin September 2024 or later. Automated Meter Reading (AMR) System Hardin County, TN, Government will be soliciting bids for Automated Meter Reading (AMR) System. The Automated Meter Reading (AMR) System is a project to provide 870 new residential water meters with electronic transmitters to allow the water consumption to be documented via radio communication for billing purposes. The project includes new water meters with transmitters and installation; mobile radio data collection system; software; desktop computer office billing equipment; and spare water meters. This project is being supported with Treasury, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity. Any person with disability requiring special accommodations must contact the Hardin County, TN, Government no later than 7 days prior to the bid opening. A Pre-bid Meeting will NOT be held for this project. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor as required by the regulations of the State of Tennessee General Assembly's Contractor's Licensing Act of 1976, and all amendments thereto in effect on bid receipt date. License number, expiration date, and license classification (Classification for this Project shall be MU) shall be shown on the outside of the envelope containing the bid of the General Contractor. The license number, expiration date, and license classification shall also be shown for the electrical subcontractor, plumbing subcontractor, and mechanical subcontractor. Failure to show these items on outside of envelope will result in bid being returned to Bidder unopened, as required by Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act referenced above The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
