Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Demolition of Deauville Apartments Project located at 415 and 436 Huff St. between Langley Dr. and Pinetree Dr, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The work to be performed by the Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following major items: 1. All improvements must be completely demolished and removed from their present site. All the building structures including floor slabs, concrete footpaths, septic tanks (if any), debris, junk and trash removal, tree & shrubs and if necessary, fencing as instructed by the Project Engineer. 2. Install heavy-duty safety fence or Tree fence (Tf) (4 ft. tall minimum) and silt fence (Sediment Barrier - Type S) around demolition perimeter or as instructed by the Project Engineer. Contractor to remove fences once ground is stabilized and grassed in its totality. 3. Basements & crawlspaces must be graded, backfilled & compacted, and sloped in such a manner that the site does not retain water and is acceptable to the Project Engineer. Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia must be accompanied by a proper certification stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. Questions regarding bids should be directed to Steve Murray, Purchasing Director at steve.murray@lawrencevillega.org or by calling 678-407-6420, no later than 3:00 P.M. on June 20, 2024. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the "allowable calendar days for completion" from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificate of Authority and acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All bonds must be submitted on forms provided by the City of Lawrenceville and agencies providing bonds and insurance should provide proof that they meet the criteria outlined in the bid and contract documents. Award will be made to the contractor submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The City of Lawrenceville reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive technicalities and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Bids may be split or awarded in entirety. The City reserves the option to negotiate terms, conditions and pricing with the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s) at its discretion.
