This project will replace approximately 971 LF of 48-inch pipe and 882.7 LF of 60-inch pipe via Open Cut. 29 pipe segments have been identified in this package and are located in close proximity to Salado Creek from Pecan Grove to the Arboretum San Antonio. CIPP and Open Cut are the suggested remedial methods due to pipe condition, location, and size. The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms to provide professional engineering design services, as well as all associated engineering services, necessary to advance the sanitary sewer overflow and reduction program (SSORP) projects identified within this RFQ to the final design phase, which includes both bid and construction phase services. SAWS will provide Respondents with design deliverables as part of this RFQ. Background In June 2013, SAWS entered into a Consent Decree (CD) with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which requires certain actions by SAWS to rehabilitate the wastewater collection system and reduce sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs). The CD includes requirements for the Capacity, Management, Operations, and Maintenance (CMOM) Program. As part of the ongoing CMOM component of the CD, SAWS is required to perform alternative analysis on targeted and urgent mains identified as high risk. The results of the CMOM alternative analysis are provided in the Project Scoping Report.
