Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newburgh, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Reference Number 0000354306 The project scope of work includes upgrading sidewalks and curb ramps and replacing existing traffic signals along Broadway between Robinson Avenue (Route 9W) and Grand Street to be ADA compliant. The project will replace six non-standard traffic signals along Broadway. Sidewalks and curb ramps will be replaced at all curb corners on both sides of Broadway. Sidewalk curb extensions and new sidewalk will be installed throughout the corridor. Landscaping, utilities and drainage are to be upgraded as needed and as shown in the contract plans. All work is subject to prevailing wage rates and requires submission of original certified payrolls as a condition for payment. Question Deadline 07/18/2024 at 12:00 PM ET questions shall be submitted in writing via email to cwade@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov. There is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Utilization Goal of 10%. There are no Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) Utilization Goals. The Equal Employment Opportunity goal for minorities is 17% and for women is 6.9% for this project. The use of Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO) reporting software is required. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). There are no residential or geographical restrictions associated with this project. The work will be substantially complete by November 26, 2025; completed and ready for final payment within two hundred seventy (270) calendar days from NTP. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: installation of (6) traffic signals, installation of sidewalk curb extensions and curb ramps, utility and drainage upgrades and/or relocations. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). An approved CCA-2 is required to be on file with NYSDOT prior to being awarded the contract. A bid deposit/security is also required. *The City of Newburgh reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, or Conditional Bids.
