**As of August 27, 2024 bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. No definite date for the rebid.** Contract No. 24-PK3 (Re-Bid) - Electrical: The scope of work generally includes selective demolition of existing electrical; electrical supply and connections to new pumps, controllers and mechanical equipment; site lighting; 100AMP electrical panel. There is an alternate for electrical supply for grinder pump lift station. Any technical questions regarding the bid documents are to be directed to LSSE. The project is being financed, in part, by the RAAC via a GEDTF Grant, and by CFA via a GTRP Grant. Bidder must agree to comply with all requirements associated with the grants. Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442; Title VI and other applicable provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause (41 CFR 60 -1.4); Executive Order 11625 (Utilization of Minority Business Enterprise); Executive Order 12138 (Utilization of Female Business Enterprise); in compliance with Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program enacted July 1981, which sets forth goals of 13 percent Minority and 2 percent Female Business Enterprise; and the Allegheny County Ordinance #6867-12, setting forth goals of 5 percent Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Baldwin. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Contract No. 24-PK3 (Re-Bid) - Electrical Construction: The Electrical Contractor's limits of work generally include all electrical wiring as required for Pool Equipment improvements, building wiring, equipment wiring and control panels, and electrical bonding of pool features. Scope of work generally includes, but not limited to the following: a. Attend pre-construction meeting with General, Plumbing and HVAC Contractors. General Contractor will present project schedule and coordination plans; all contractors shall review and General Contractor shall obtain signoffs from all Contractors. General Contractor shall act as prime contractor and run all coordination meetings throughout construction. b. Replace existing service equipment/disconnect switches as within the pool building. c. Replacement of conduit/wiring within the existing Court Storage Room/Chemical Feed Room. d. Furnish and install conduit and wiring for replacement pool chlorinator and chemical controller. e. Select demolition/removal of electrical equipment to be demolished within the pool equipment room (lower level). Electrical demolition/disconnecting of all equipment to be removed under other contracts. f. Furnish and install junction boxes, conduit, and wiring for site lighting replacements. (General Contractor to supply and install site lighting). g. Furnish all conduit and power wiring for replacement boiler. Relocation/extension of existing boiler circuits as required. h. Furnish and install conduit and wiring for replacement pool recirculation pump and pump VFD, including modifications to existing panelboard. i. Furnish and install conduit and wiring for the water feature pump (slide, rainbow, buckets, etc.) and water feature pump motor starter including modifications to existing panelboard. j. Pool bonding including copper ring conductor with connection to all pool features (existing and proposed) in accordance with Section 680.26 of the National Electric Code. Includes connection to existing pool bonding as required. Coordinate with General Contractor regarding excavation, installation of equipment to be bonded, etc.
