The Town of Neepawa will be renewing or adding the following sidewalk sections: (NEW) Main Street -51 Main St E to W Limit of 11 Main St: 3.3 meters X 141 meters (New) Mill Street - Crocus Dr to PTH 5: 1.5 meters X 330 meters (New) Commerce St - Mountain Ave to Second Ave: 1.5 meters X 152 meters Work to include the following: Removal of existing sidewalks: contractor to load old sidewalk onto Town trucks. Town will dispose of the material at an appropriate location. Sidewalks must follow all new accessibility legislation, including installation of truncated texture sheets at each street crossing. The Town will provide the sheets, the contractor must install them during the concrete pour stage. Existing sidewalk locations will be widened to 1.5 meters in width and ensure 100mm of slab thickness in all sections, except driveways and back lanes whereby it will be increased to 150mm. Any back lanes shall have concrete poured between the street and the sidewalk at the 150mm. Sidewalk cuts, to be cut every 1.8 meters within 24 hours of pour. Contractors are responsible for topsoil placement along edge of sidewalk to ensure a smooth transition to boulevard. The contractor is responsible for sourcing the topsoil. Include topsoil in bid price. The Town will be responsible for the planting of grass. Contractors are responsible for attaining their own locates for the job.
