New Hanover County, North Carolina (NHC) is soliciting and accepting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms, or individuals, licensed in the State of North Carolina to provide Special Inspections, Material Testing and building envelope testing services for the construction of three (3) new facilities for the The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to solicit qualifications from qualified applicants to provide Special Inspections, Material Testing, and building envelope testing services for the construction of 3 new facilities for New Hanover County. 1. Castle Hayne Fire Station - 12,451sf; Type IIB construction; partially sprinklered; Risk Category IV; non separated mixed occupancies (A3, B, R2, S2) building. 2. Gordon Road Fire Station - 15,589sf; Type IIB construction; fully sprinklered; Risk Category IV; non separated mixed occupancies (A3, B, R2, S2) building. 3. Northchase Library - 19,941sf; Type; Type IIB construction; fully sprinklered; Risk Category III; A3 occupancy building. All 3 projects are scheduled to occur in the same general window of time with different start & finish times. The duration for each project is between 12 and 18 months. An actual construction schedule will be developed by the general contractors for each project. NHC is seeking a firm that has the capacity to provide services to all 3 projects simultaneously but may consider awarding each project to different firms.
