The location of the work is located at 985 Old Mill Road in Cumberland Township, Adams County, PA. Work generally consists of the following; installation of owner supplied booster pumps, modification of header piping, belt guards, and aii- releases. Installation of new concrete vault with bypass piping and valves. The Work being done as part of this contract is to install a new permanent force main bypass vault and second stage raw sewage booster pumps including header piping modifications. The booster pumps, belt guards, belts, and air release valves are to be provided by the Owner. Acceptance, installation and startup is to be by the Contractor. The Owner reserves the right, at its option, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or omissions in any or all Bid Proposals, as the Owner may deem to be in its best interest. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The Bid Security shall be made payable to the Cumberland Town ship Authority, Adams County, Pennsylvania. All Bid Bonds must be accompanied by a Power of Attorney or suitable letter of commitment from a licensed surety company as described in the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Bids may be held by the OWNER for up to 60 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. Question Deadline 06/21/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding.
