The purpose and intent of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a fixed price contract for ground pallet mulch. The awarded contractor shall furnish ground pallet mulch on an as needed basis to the Augusta Nursery. Bid units have been changed to cubic yards. The initial contract period is changed to extend through July 21th, 2025. The ground pallet mulch must be of the size and consistency normally associated with agricultural use. The ground pallet mulch shall not have color added and/or shall not be spray treated with color. Residual paint from mulched pallets is acceptable. The first half of the requested mulch must be delivered before October 1st. (Due to space concerns.) Locations Where Work Will Be Performed: 90 Forestry Center Lane Crimora, VA 24431 In compliance with this Invitation for Bid (IFB) and all conditions imposed in this IFB, the undersigned firm hereby offers and agrees to furnish all goods and services required by this IFB at the prices indicated in the pricing schedule, and the undersigned firm hereby certifies that all information provided below and, in any schedule, attached to this solicitation is true, correct, and complete. The purpose and intent of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a fixed price contract for ground pallet mulch. The awarded contractor shall furnish ground pallet mulch on an as needed basis to the Augusta Nursery located at 90 Forestry Center Lane Crimora, VA 2443. *Note: the Augusta Nursery has historically required 1780 - 2136 cubic yards of mulch per year. SCOPE OF WORK REQUIREMENTS: 1. Mulch must be ground pallets with nails or non-wood material removed. (This will assure correct PH levels.) 2. The ground pallet mulch must be of the size and consistency normally associated with agricultural use. 3. The ground pallet mulch shall not have color added and/or shall not be spray treated with color. Residual paint from mulched pallets is acceptable. 4. Bidders must submit a mulch sample to the delivery address below prior to bid close. 5. The first half of the requested mulch must be delivered before October 1st. (Due to space concerns.) 6. The second half of the mulch must be delivered during the month of October. 9. DOF reserves the right to reject any deliveries that do not meet the above requirements.
