Reference Number 0000354323 The project involves HVAC upgrades as described in the Request for Qualifications. Alamance-Burlington School System (Referred hereafter as "ABSS") is seeking proposals from qualified design-builders to perform design, planning, permitting (if required), and HVAC replacements at various schools. The intent of this RFQ is to select a design-builder based upon qualifications and cost to provide the required HVAC Upgrades. Graham High School (Year Constructed 1962) - The four individual buildings involved in the scope of work currently have three buildings that have split systems with eight 4-ton condensing units on the roof with air handlers with hot water coils above the ceiling in the hallway. One building has seven RTU's with hot water coils. Needs: Demo existing equipment and install VRF system along with a DOAS unit for each building. Anticipated project budget is $1,550,000. B. Southern Alamance High School (Year Constructed 1960) - The four individual buildings involved in the scope of work currently have split systems with eight 4-ton condensing units on the roof with air handlers with hot water coils above the ceiling in the hallway. Needs: Demo existing equipment and install VRF system along with a DOAS unit for each building. Anticipated Project Budget is $1,700,000. C. Haw River Elementary School (Year Constructed 1927) - The school currently has a failing hot water boiler. Needs: Demo existing Boiler and install new boiler. Anticipated Project Budget is $200.000. D. B. Everett Jordan Elementary School (Year Constructed 1968)- The school currently has a failing chiller. Needs: Demo existing chiller and install new chiller and chiller controls. Anticipated Project Budget is $320,000. E. Anticipated Project Budget is $320,000. H. Hillcrest Elementary School (Year Constructed 1994) - The school currently has a failing chiller and pumps. Needs: Demo existing equipment and replace chiller, pumps, piping modifications and chiller/pump controls. Anticipated Project Budget is $700,000. I. Marvin B. Smith Elementary School (Year Constructed 1995) - The school currently has a failing chiller and pumps. Needs: Demo existing equipment and replace chiller, pumps, piping modifications and chiller/pump controls. Anticipated Project Budget is $700,000. The HVAC Upgrades are to be turn-key completed ready for use with all electrical, HVAC and plumbing. The school system intends to issue the notice to proceed with work on August 15, 2024 and to allow approximately fifteen (15) months for the completion of the work. However, the desired completion date is no later than November 21, 2025. These proposed dates are subject to negotiation with the selected design-builder. The plans for the work must be reviewed and approved by DPI Plant Operation's section.
