Site work and paving for a road / highway in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The scope of Work contemplated for the above-named project includes milling of the existing pavement surface, installation of pavement base course or base course repairs as needed as determined by visual inspection of the milled pavement surface and a 2-inch pavement surface course overlay, striping & signage improvements, as well as all other work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents for several roads throughout the City (Pulaski Avenue, Central Place, Gadek Place, Valley Place, Lynd Street, Chauncey Street, Wayne Street, James Street, and Parker Street). All Work on this Contract shall be completed within forty-five (45) Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. Bid submissions must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "City of Perth Amboy" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bond for the full amount of this Project is required. The award of the Contract for this Project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by City of Perth Amboy in a lawful manner. Please be advised that this Project is being funded through the City of Perth Amboy. By virtue of Executive Order #34 (1976), vendors currently suspended, debarred or disqualified are excluded from participating on this Project. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the applicable statutory requirements of the Contract Documents and Plans which include all of the following: (i) N.J.A.C. 17:27; (ii) N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.; (iii) Business Registrations (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44); (iv) Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25, et seq.); (v) Public Work Contractor Registration (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48); and (vi) Affirmative Action Requirements (N.J.S.A. 10:5-1, et seq.); and any other legal requirements applicable to this Project. City of Perth Amboy intends to award this Project to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder in accordance with applicable law. City of Perth Amboy reserves the right to reject any and all Bids to the extent permitted by law. An award will be made or Bids will be rejected within sixty (60) Calendar Days after the electronic opening of the Bids, during which time the Bids shall be irrevocable and unavailable to withdraw by Bidders, unless otherwise extended in the Contract Documents. The contract shall not be approved until a favorable eligibility determination has been made by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Question Deadline 06/10/2024 at 10:00 AM ET
