Renovation of a transportation facility in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Installation of Fixed Walkways and Passenger Boarding Bridges Gates 11, 12 & 14 This project will replace the existing ground boarding operations for Gates 11, 12 and 14 with a new fixed walkway and passenger boarding bridge configuration at the three (3) gates. The project includes site work, concrete foundations, utility relocations, utility extensions, new ground support equipment (400Hz Ground Power Units, Pre-conditioned Air Units, and Potable Water Cabinets), modifications to an existing maintenance and storage building Rubb(TM) Building, and other work as shown on the plans and specified herein. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. the bid security may be either a certified check (only if the bidder utilizes USPS, UPS, or FedEx to submit their bid) or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Maine (for electronic bid submissions). Bid security shall be made payable to the City of Portland, Maine. Bids submitted without security will not be considered. Each prospective bidder will be required to obtain from the City each copy of the proposal form and each set of plans The successful bidder must furnish: A 100% performance bond, A 100% labor and material payment bond, And begin execution of this contract within ten (10) calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. This project is funded, all or in part, with a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). With this funding, this project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA). Please see Section A4 of the Federal Contract Provisions included with the bid documents for details on the requirements of this Act. SCOPE OF WORK A. As part of the construction, furnish and install Overbridge device assemblies as required to provide the means by which power, control and signaling wiring is extended from junction boxes mounted on the exterior of the Terminal/Gate position and the various units mounted along the length of the Passenger Loading Bridge subject to extension and retraction
