Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Stanwood, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of July 23, 2024, project is awarded to Excavation West, Inc., with an awarded amount of $1,777,170.10. The improvements for which bids will be received are described as follows: he Port Susan Trail, Phase 2 is a hard surface bicycle and pedestrian trail that begins at the snohomish county park and ride at the east end of 267th Street at the Marine View Drive intersection, goes east to the 267th Street/SR 532 intersection where it meets Phase 1 of the Port Susan Trail. Then it continues at the west end of the phase 1 trail at the intersection of 92nd Avenue/SR 532 and heads south, west, and finally north around the abandoned City of Stanwood treatment lagoon on the existing gravel maintenance road adjacent to the lagoon where it will continue with a boardwalk to the existing public works access road and then west to the newly constructed Hamilton Landing Park. Bids are to be submitted only in the form provided in the Project Manual, and all bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the City of Stanwood of value not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The deadline to submit contractor questions is June 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into the Contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the Information for Bidders, the Bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Stanwood. Faxed Bids and/or Surety bonds will not be accepted. The Engineers estimate for this project is $2,220,545.00. All work shall be physically complete within 75 working days of receiving a Notice to Proceed. Time extensions may be granted for rainfall days that prevent work that is already in progress. The City of Stanwood reserves the right to accept a proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.
