Site work and outdoor lighting for a road / highway in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
The proposed improvements consist of the installation of street lights along Prospect Road from between Forrest Hill Avenue and London Avenue for a distance of approximately 0.39 miles. Proposed improvements include: new light poles with luminaires, light pole foundations, conduit, electrical cable, handholes, and lighting controller and appurtenant work. Additional alternate bid items account for removal and restoration of existing foundations. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All work shall comply with the project specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals. Description of Work. i. Proposed improvement is officially known as Prospect Road Street Lighting Improvements. ii. The proposed improvement consists of providing and installing a new street lighting system along Prospect Avenue from E London Avenue to E Forrest Hill Avenue.
