Site work for a water / sewer project in Waterloo, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The structure is a 1,000,000-gallon radial arm elevated water storage tank with an approximate low-water level of 55 ft. located at 1901 Kimball Avenue in Waterloo, Iowa. Note that there are outer and inner legs that support the structure. Exterior: High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi) and spot power tool clean to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane system. Repairs: 1) Install a gasket on the wet interior roof hatch. 2) Install handholds at the wet interior roof hatches. 3) Install deflector bars on the fill/draw pipe. 4) Replace the sample tap on the fill/draw pipe. 5) Overflow discharge modification. 6) Install a fall prevention device on the wet interior riser ladder and replace the device on the wet interior ladder from the roof to the bowl. 7) Balcony drain holes. 8) Lower balcony access modification. 9) Install a cover on the upper balcony ladder opening. 10) Install a roof handrail with a painter's railing. 11) Install bowl rigging couplings. 12) Replace the wet interior platform walkway with solid plate. 13) Install a hinge on the riser grate opening cover. Commence work on or after August 12, 2024. Substantial Completion by October 31, 2024, including cure and disinfection time. The tank may be out-of-service for a maximum of 40 days. The City of Waterloo has a noise ordinance that would allow for work from 7 AM until 11 PM Monday through Saturday. There is to be no noise on Sunday or after 11 pm Monday through Saturday. Liquidated damages are applicable and begin after 40 days out-of-service or after Substantial Completion date whichever is the earlier date. Liquidated damages at $1,250/calendar day is to apply after this date. Ready for Final Payment Date is to be thirty (30) days after date Substantial Completion Date based on out-of-service days or scheduled Substantial Completion, or as adjusted by Change Order, or actual Substantial Completion if earlier. Liquidated damages after Ready for Final Payment Date of $250/day is to apply. Liquidated damages are cumulative if damages from Substantial Completion and Ready for Final Payment overlap. In addition, Special Damages, fines, or Set-Off may also apply per Bid/Agreement Form. Due to supply chain issues, the Owner reserves the right to require the Contractor to have all of the required coating for the project delivered to the site or to the Owner's storage facility prior to the tank being taken out-of-service and prior to the commencement of the project. Repairs: 1) Install a gasket on the wet interior roof hatch. 2) Install handholds at the wet interior roof hatches. 3) Install deflector bars on the fill/draw pipe. 4) Replace the sample tap on the fill/draw pipe. 5) Overflow discharge modification. 6) Install a fall prevention device on the wet interior riser ladder and replace the device on the wet interior ladder from the roof to the bowl. 7) Balcony drain holes. 8) Lower balcony access modification. 9) Install a cover on the upper balcony ladder opening. 10) Install a roof handrail with a painter's railing. 11) Install bowl rigging couplings. 12) Replace the wet interior platform walkway with solid plate. 13) Install a hinge on the riser grate opening cover Question Deadline 07/01/2024 Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
