The Township of Rideau Lakes is seeking a seeking a qualified proponent to provide all labour, materials, products, and equipment necessary to execute the scope of work noted in Scope of Work in Section 3.0 of this document, which is summarized as: - Replacing whalers and skirting around the exterior of dock - Replacing decking on main dock - Remove 3 existing electrical posts with outlets along the dock to install new decking and reinstall once decking is completed - Make any further necessary repairs as needed All work is to occur at the Portland Harbour docks, located at 15B Water Street, Portland, Ontario. The proposed work is to replace aged whalers, skirting and decking at the Municipal Docks at the Portland Harbour. A permit with Parks Canada has been issued to complete the work, Permit No. 8606-1184. This RFP is requesting proposals to supply all materials, equipment and labour for the following work: Remove all sheathing Remove wood decking and joists Remove timber crib top courses. Repair and rebuild to suit top elevation Remove top walers on concrete dock. Install metal brackets and new waler. Paint existing brackets. Provide new continuous skirting (sheathing) Provide new decking on main dock. Remove and reinstall 3 new electrical service pedestals to complete work. All work must meet all conditions of Parks Canada Permit No. 8606-1184 Construction is to commence after September 3, 2024 and be completed on or before October 16, 2024. No In-Water or Shoreline Works are permitted after October 1, 2024.
