The Town of Vienna, VA seeks bids from qualified licensed contractors for the provision of milling asphalt, asphalt overlay work, and installing traffic markings as needed in accordance with the specifications and attachments herein. The Town of Vienna reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept the bid(s) which, in its judgment, will be for its best interest. This contract shall cover the total cost of all labor, insurance, permits, materials, personnel, transportation, supplies, etc. as necessary for or incidental to the performance of the work as follows and in accordance with the specifications, plans, terms and conditions as specified herein. The work shall consist of milling of asphalt at a depth of approximately >2 inches or less and the installation of SM-9.5D asphalt at a depth of 1 1/2 inches and the installation of yellow and/or white traffic markings as directed and as needed and requested by the Town. This is a listing of some of work that will be required under this contract: o Mill asphalt at a depth of 2" or less. Price per square yard of milling. o Install 2" Surface Mix Asphalt (SM-9.5D). Price per ton. o Install Base Mix Asphalt (B.M. -25 BASE MIX). Price per ton. o Install 4" wide yellow traffic marking per specifications. o Install 4" wide white traffic marking per specifications. o Install 6" wide crosswalk per specifications. o Install 12" wide diagonal marking within crosswalk per specifications. o Install 24" wide longitudinal marking within crosswalk per specifications. o Install lane directional arrows per specifications. o Install Stop Ahead letters per specifications. o Install 24" stop bars per specifications. o Utility adjustments using methods one or two.
