Vernon Township Board of Education (hereinafter called Owner), for FIRE ROOM UPGRADES AT VERNON TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL. Commencing July 18, 2024 All bidder's questions must be in writing and emailed to EI Associates, attention Simone Short, by 12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Email Address: simone_short@eiassociates.com As Bid security, each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, in accordance with the amounts and terms described in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Each Bidder shall submit with its bid, a Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company licensed to write business in the State of New Jersey, stating that the Surety will provide the successful bidder and its subcontractors with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. Bidders shall submit a statement pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be submitted with the bid. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms, may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. All Bidders are placed on notice that they are required to comply with all requirements of the Laws Against Discrimination, N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq. and the Affirmative Action Regulations, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 and provide the appropriate documentation. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. Work ofProject is defined by the Contract Documents and consists ofthe following: Mitigate ongoing water infiltration into the existing High School Fire Pump Room and Replace damaged fire pump system components to ensure proper operation. Excavate along three exterior foundation walls to expose footings. Install a footing drain system for improved drainage. Seal all foundation wall penetrations, with particular attention to the fiber optic cable location. Install a foundation waterproofing system to prevent future water infiltration. Regrade the exterior perimeter of the Fire Pump Room to promote positive drainage away from the building. Existing bollards and cross bar to be reset in new concrete base. Replace the damaged section of incoming fire water piping entering the room from the floor slab and the existing jockey pump with a new one, mounted on a housekeeping pad to prevent future water damage. Modify piping as needed to prevent leaks. As circumstances allow, amend the existing concrete floor to provide positive drainage towards the existing sump pit.
