Hornitos Road Pavement Digouts The project includes pavement repairs on Hornitos Road between the county line near Merced Falls and the town of Hornitos. Work shall consist of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to remove non-continuous sections of existing roadway materials to be replaced with Class 2 Aggregate Base (AB) and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) including and not limited to AB compaction, traffic control, and construction best management practices. Project includes an alternate 2 1/2 -inch ballast sub-base material bid item. The Engineer's Estimate is $700,000. Bid security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, and in the form of a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer licensed by the California Department of Insurance, cash, cashier's check or certified check shall accompany the bid. There is no DBE goal required. Any changes to, or clarification of, the project plans and specifications shall be in the form of a written addendum issued to plan holders of record.
