Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brookfield, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of, but is not limited to: This project shall consist of Best Management Practice upgrades to a 1,420 length of the Allis State Park Entrance Drive. Specific improvements include enhanced- ditching on the south and east sides of the road with stone lining on slopes greater- than 5% and grass lined with erosion control blanket on slopes less than 5%. Two alternatives are proposed for culvert replacement or addition along this section of road. Option 1 includes replacement of two existing culverts (labeled A and B on the plans) and addition of a third culvert at midpoint between two existing locations, all 18" HDPE. Option 2 includes maintaining the two existing culverts if deemed historic, with addition of two new 18 HDPE culverts, one at midpoint as per Option 1 and a second upstream of Culvert B as shown on the plans. Plunge pools will be installed at the outlets of all culverts. In addition, the entire 1,420 road segment will receive full depth reclamation and repaving to mitigate deteriorating asphalt improve subbase. Any vendor requiring clarification of any section of this RFP or wishing to comment or take exception to any requirements of the RFP must submit specific questions in writing to BGS.OPCVendorDocs@vermont.gov no later than 4:30 PM on June 24, 2024. All questions should include Allis State Park Entrance Drive Drainage and Road Improvements Project in the subject line. Any comments, questions, or exceptions not raised in writing on or before the last day of the question period are waived. At the close of the question period a copy of all questions or comments and the State's responses will be posted at online. STATE SECURITY PROCEDURES: Please be advised extra time will be needed when visiting and/or delivering information to State of Vermont offices. All individuals visiting State offices must present a valid government issued photo ID when entering the facility. State office buildings may be locked or otherwise closed to the public. If this RFP permits hand delivery of bids, delivery instructions will be posted at the entrance to the State facility. Any delay caused by State Security Procedures will be at the bidder's own risk. Full Bonding is required for this job. CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR EVALUATION FORM: The Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS) may require contractor evaluations on construction projects over $100,000 or at the discretion of the BGS Director. Evaluations will be used to compile the contractor's performance on BGS projects to provide a history and assessment of the contractor's performance. It is the Bidder's responsibility to thoroughly read and comply with all instructions and requirements of this bid solicitation.
