The Project generally consists of the following major items: The project location is at the intersection of Hickory Log Drive and Reservoir Drive in the City of Canton. The proposed improvements consist of the following: 1. Mill and Overlay 2. Grading Complete 3. Demolition 4. Full Depth Pavement 5. Curb and Gutter 6. Asphalt Pavement 7. Concrete Median 8. Raised Pedestrian Island 9. Concrete Sidewalk 10. ADA Ramps 11. Grass Median 12. Signing and Stripping 13. Traffic and Pedestrian Signal Control Improvements 14. Erosion Control 15. Other Miscellaneous items Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. The deadline for questions is Thursday, June 28, by 5:00 pm. All questions concerning the project shall be addressed in writing by email to Mr. George Kakunes, with AtkinsRéalis, at George.Kakunes@atkinsrealise.com. Questions received after that date may not be addressed. Answers to questions in writing will be provided in an Addendum and posted on the City. Deadline for Questions: Thursday June 28, 2024 5:00 PM No pre-bid meeting or tours to review the Scope of Work for the project will be held individually or separately. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 210 days, and the time allowed for final completion and readiness for final payment is 240 days from the date of commencement. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the OWNER for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional Bond(s) as described in the Bidding Documents. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and re-advertise.
