Renovation of a residential development in Surry, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Title: Chippokes State Paek Chief Rangers Residence Floor The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to remove spray foam insulation from designated area within the floor system and repair/replace any moisture damaged components. Install Park approved tub/shower unit and vanity to include all associated fixtures. Make necessary repairs to drywall and install park approved luxury vinyl flooring in effected areas. Commodity Code: 36000 - Floor covering installation and removal equipment and supplies. 90945 - Finishes: Flooring, Wall, and Ceiling, etc. 91025 Flooring Maintenance and Repair Location where work will be performed: Chippokes State Park Ranger House at 28 Chippokes Park Road, Surry VA 23883. Attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting, prior to bidding in this program. Contact Trevor Johnson, Park Manger tevor.johnson@dcr.virginia.gov two business day in advance for entrance to Chippokes State Park. All bidders must sign in to have their attendance recorded. The meeting will meet at the Park Ranger House located at 28 Chippokes State Road, Surry, VA 23883. All Inquiries for Information Should Be Directed To: Barbara Little, Procurement Officer at barbara.little@dcr.virginia.gov, 804-382-5587. All questions must be received via email by 4:00 PM May 28, 2024. All questions must be in writing and will be answered in writing, by email or addendum. Scope for Services: 1. Completely remove existing spray foam insulation from the areas beneath and adjacent to water sources within the residence. These areas consist of the kitchen, laundry, hall bath, and the bedroom closet adjacent to the hall bath. All spray foam shall be removed from the joist-bays and removal shall encompass the area from the girder that runs in the center of the residence to the rear foundation wall including areas above the sill plate. 2. The contractor must identify and protect any utilities that may be embedded within the spray foam insulation. Any damage to the utilities must be repaired by the contractor. 3. Remove and replace all flooring and wall components damaged by moisture with in-kind materials. All subfloor repairs will be done with Advan-Tech sheathing of the appropriate thickness to match existing flooring. Contractor is responsible for repairing or replacing any damaged drywall. Drywall to be primed and painted (Color TBD). 4. Furnish and install a moisture barrier and top-tier sound-proofing material prior to laying the new Vinyl Tile Flooring. 5. Install to manufactures specifications in the affected areas - Vista Brookhurst 20 MIL x 12 in. W x 24 in. L Click Lock Waterproof Vinyl Tile Flooring or agency-approved equivalent. 6. Install new park approved shower/tub unit and vanity. Contractor is responsible for correct measurements and sizing of shower/tub and vanity units. 7. Any utilities that must be disconnected to accommodate the installation of new components must be reinstalled in accordance with code requirements by the contractor. 8. Provide and install stained/painted molding with replacing like and "in kind" throughout the facility to include quarter-round shoe molding where applicable. 9. All materials must be new and in good condition. 10. All products shall be installed per manufacturer's instructions and specifications. 11. Specifications/cut sheets shall be submitted with the bid. Any alternate product bid must meet or exceed the specifications for the above make and model. Failure to provide Product Information may eliminate your company's bid from evaluation for award. 12. The successful bidder shall be experienced in all aspects for the tasks included in this remodel and shall have adequate labor and equipment for the scope of this projects and be able to complete the work within the closure date. Should significant weather affect the successful bidder's ability to complete the work, consideration will be given to extend the time.
