Scope of Work: Remove and replace six (6) existing domestic water heaters. Demolish existing plumbing and flues as necessary for the new pipping. Provide new domestic water piping from point of connection and flues for water heaters. Install two (2) emergency solenoid valves at gas entrance to Mechanical Room. Connect electric circuits and tie new water heaters and emergency solenoid valves into emergency shunts. Location: 10500 Rio Wrangler Parkway Reno, NV 89521. All questions shall be submitted in writing directly to WCSD's Solicitations website or via e-mail to solicitations@washoeschools.net by 4:30 p.m. (Local Time) on July 5, 2024. Range Low $625,000.00. High $763,900.00. Each individual bid shall be accompanied by a surety company issued Bid Bond or by a Certified or Cashier's Check made payable to the Washoe County School District, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, said amount to be forfeited to WCSD, should the Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract in accordance with the Contractor's bid and any other contract documents and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) days after the delivery of notice of such award. Bid Bonds, upon request, or deposits of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon signing of Contract, or within forty-five (45) days from bid date, whichever is earlier. The physical work is to be commenced upon issuance of a "Notice to Proceed" and shall be completed on or before August 1, 2025. Bids may be withdrawn in a written request received from a Contractor prior to the time fixed for opening of bids. Contractor must agree that Owner may retain from the monies due the Contractor One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per day (Liquidated Damages) as a direct result of the Contractor's delay or for not completing the project in the required time allowance plus approved time extensions. The right is reserved by WCSD to reject any and all bids or accept the bid, which is deemed by WCSD to be in the best interest of the school district. WCSD also reserves the right to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in the submitted bids. In cases where the award of the project has not been made, bids submitted and opened may not be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days from the due date and time of the bid. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
