The HVAC & Plumbing Trades contractor shall provide and install all Kitchen hood work shown on the Mechanical & Plumbing sheets, Captive Aire drawings, and details on sheet A9.3; install kitchen hoods, remote controllers, roof-top exhaust fans, equipment curbs, and etc; coordinate with the hood manufacturer and provide a kitchen hood shop drawing and submittal; provides and installs louvers, ductwork, hood control package, and all other items necessary to complete the kitchen hood installations; coordinate with the rough general trade contractor for exhaust duct rough openings and hood backing locations; provides and installs stainless steel wall flashing; install owner-furnished (new and existing) kitchen equipment; provide and install the water heater flue through the roof and for the roof flashing and roofing penetration; provide and install the dryer vent through the wall; provide a neat cut outside and inside so that the finishes will not need repair; install the owner-furnished washer and dryer; provide existing gas, sewer, and water safe-off; provide and install sheet metal flashings and roofing to repair all new roof penetrations; provide and install new gas, sewer, and water lines; provide the "point of connection" to the existing utility, flush the line, and connect it to the new or relocated kitchen equipment; provide concrete saw cutting, concrete demo, backfill, compaction, and slab repair for all utilities underground; provide and install water heater Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.5, only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this Project. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive and returned by email to the bidder. Moreover, any bid listing subcontractors holding C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses for the performance of electrical, mechanical or plumbing components who have not been prequalified shall be deemed nonresponsive. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District a cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Pleasanton Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made.
