Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Irvine, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The City of Irvine (the "City") is requesting proposals in order to enter into an Agreement for Consulting Services (the "Agreement") with a successful Consultant to provide architecture, engineering and other design related services in connection with the renovation, repurposing, and upgrades to Building 369 to serve as a preeminent events center within the Cultural Terrace area of the Irvine Great Park. Physical construction is expected to commence on or about July 1, 2025, and be substantially completed in the summer of 2027. Building 369 will be available to rent to the local community, companies, corporations, non-profits, etc., and provide a bespoke setting for hosting events, meetings, seminars, presentations, workshops, holiday events, dinners, galas, expositions, trade shows, weddings, other ceremonial events, and birthday parties all in a modern, flexible public indoor-outdoor state-of-the-art venue. Building 369 is located on an approximately 25 acres site (the "Site") within the Great Park Cultural Terrace, and when complete will be approximately 30,000 gross square feet which will be designed to be sub dividable affording flexibility and adaptability in planning along with the highest ceilings achievable, to accommodate various type of events, and will be one of the largest stand-alone flexible indoor event spaces in Orange County. Exhibit 'J' Conceptual Design Vocabulary depicts renderings of what Building 369 might look like in the context of the overall Cultural Terrace, in addition to some generic floor plans of B369 that show the approximate column locations and a conceptual idea of what the space may look like once completed. These materials are provided for reference only, and should not be considered as guidelines for design, nor be allowed to inhibit the Consultant's creativity and ingenuity. The surrounding Great Park Cultural Terrace is an approximately 117-acre site, located in Irvine Planning Area 51, Zoning Code 1.9, and will be the future home for Pretend City Children's Museum, Orange County Music & Dance, Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum, and other amenities including parks, open spaces, lawns, bike and pedestrian pathways, parking to accommodate up to the appropriate number of vehicles.
