Friday HVAC & Electrical Renovations Gilbane Building Co. is the Construction Manager for the UNC Charlotte Friday HVAC & Electrical Renovation. Gilbane Building Co. is seeking to Pre-Qualify subcontractors currently for all trades. The scope of work for this pre-qualification process is for the various bid packages for the renovation of the Friday HVAC & Electrical Renovation at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus. The procurement process will follow the State Construction process and the project designer is McKim & Creed The minimum minority participation goal for this project is 20%. Gilbane Building Co. invites all small, minority and woman-owned contractors and suppliers to participate in the prequalification process. All prequalified bidders will be required to seek Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) participation. Payment and Performance Bonds will be waived for Trade Packages under $500,000 except for the 08B Storefront and 07A Roofing scopes as those packages will require P&P bonds due to modifications to the building's envelope system. The CMR Prequalification Matrix will be used for scoring Part A and B. Prequalification of CMR 1st Tier Subcontractors will be in accordance with the State of North Carolina Prequalification Policy dated November 2014.
