Renovation of a municipal facility in Tacoma, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Reroof the Cushman 2 Powerhouse roof, Annex roof, Intake House roof, Valve House roof and Northfork Powerhouse roof. This project is located at the Cushman Hydroelectrical Project, Cushman 2 Powerhouse, (21451 N Highway 101, Shelton, WA 98584) and at the Cushman 2 Dam (200 N. Lower Lake Road, Hoodsport, WA 98584), and as shown on Tacoma Power's Cushman Project map as shown in Appendix A. The project is located in Mason County, Washington. The City of Tacoma (City) / Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU) is soliciting bids to establish a more contract with qualified vendors to fulfill the City's needs to reroof the Cushman 2 Powerhouse and the intake building. A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s) based on price, product quality and availability. Estimate: $440,000 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA Information: The City of Tacoma, in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), commits to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability, in all of its programs and activities. Specification materials can be made available in an alternate format by emailing the contact listed below in the Additional Information section. Federal Title VI Information: "The City of Tacoma" in accordance with provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. sections 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin in consideration of award. The contractor will be required to complete all within Forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of notification to commence work. Work start date may be agreed upon between contractor and City (Project Engineer). However, all work shall be completed prior to October 31, 2024. Question Deadline: 6/17/2024 Owner Rights: The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to waive irregularities deemed immaterial. The City also reserves the right to not award a contract or to issue subsequent RFB's Bond Notes: If a payment and performance bond is stated herein, the required bond including power of attorney, will be 100 percent of the Contract total and is subject to the following requirements. For a supply-type contract, a certified cashier's check or cash may be substituted for the bonds; however, this cash or check must remain with the City through the guarantee period and any interest on said amount shall accrue to the City. The City's payment and performance bond forms must be used. The payment and performance bonds must be executed by a surety company licensed to do business in the state of Washington. The cost of a payment and performance bonds must be included in submittal prices. Bonds will not be paid as a separate line item.
