The University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Construction Management Professional Services Consultant (CM) for the replacement of four (4) existing generators located in Central Refrigeration Plant (CRP). Building 952 is located on the west campus of the University located at 1717 West Taylor Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60602. The project scope includes the replacement of four (4) engine generators (EG-1, EG-2, EG-3 & EG-4). These engine generators were installed in stages, and supply emergency power to Switchgear CRP-SKV supplying critical power to 12 buildings on the West Campus. Generators vEG-1 and EG-2 are Detroit Diesel Generators and were installed in 1978. Generators EG-3 and EG-4 are Cummins Generators and were installed in 1988 and 2003 respectively. The scope of the work may include, but is not limited to, demolition, removal and replacement of four engine generators identified for this project, upgrading MEP systems as necessary, as well as structural modifications to accommodate new equipment. This project will be executed in multiple phases and all systems/utilities in Building 952 impacted by this work need to remain fully functional and operational. Each firm will be required to submit their proposals by the deadline referenced above. Proposal parts A, B and C (no hard copies required) submitted electronically within the Technical Response tab and separate Sealed Compensation Proposal Part D submitted electronically within the Pricing for Electronic Submittal of Proposals tab. After submission of proposals, then the proposals will be opened via Zoom following the deadline date and time. Zoom meeting link to be issued via an addendum in the future. The electronically submitted Compensation Proposal Part D will be locked from viewing until after the selection committee ranks the best qualified proposers. Firm shall be disqualified if an electronic submittal is not received. Firms shall notify contact person above of any technical problems PRIOR to the time/date the submittal is due.
