Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Colchester, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Town of Colchester, Connecticut is soliciting sealed bids for the Lebanon Avenue Streetscape Improvements Project. The project consists of the construction of new and replacement concrete sidewalk along the south side of Lebanon Avenue (Rt. 16) for approximately 2,200 linear feet as well as a 160 foot extension of the existing sidewalk on the north side of the road to the intersection with Highland Farms Drive. A new bus shelter with concrete pad foundation and landing will be installed just east of this intersection. Other improvements include the installation of handicapped accessible sidewalk ramps, reconstruction of existing bituminous and concrete driveways, roadway reconstruction and associated signage and pavement markings. Also included is the installation of erosion control, grading, topsoil and turf establishment. A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to Town of Colchester and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. All bonds must be from sureties registered in the State of Connecticut. This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements. See CHRO Requirements in Contract Documents No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of Bid opening. Any request from a prospective Bidder for interpretation of meaning of Contract Drawings, Specifications or other Contract Documents shall be made in writing to the office of Barton and Loguidice, 41 Sequin Dr. Glastonbury, CT 06033 and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to date fixed for opening of proposals. Such requests may be to Barton and Loguidice by e-mail: kgrindle@bartonandloguidice.com. The award of a Contract, if awarded, will be the lowest responsible qualified bidder, provided that the bid is reasonable and that it is in the best interest of the Town of Colchester to accept such bid. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or waive any technicality in any Bid or part thereof, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Colchester.
