Renovation of a municipal facility in Asheville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Municipal Building Capital Repairs and Restoration project is a structural renovation project for the demolition and replacement of the suspended slab in the fire station apparatus bay. Work includes demolition, structural framing, structural concrete, plus the renovation of interior spaces partially demolished to facilitate the slab replacement. Bid alternates include a boiler replacement, roof replacement, and building envelope repairs. Deadline to Submit Questions Friday, June 14, 2024 by 3:00pm Anticipated Contract Award October 2024 Anticipated Construction Completion April 2026 The City of Asheville adopted a prequalification policy via Resolution 15-133. Per this policy and N.C.G.S 143-135.8, submissions will be reviewed by a Prequalification Committee. The Committee will perform an objective assessment of each submission to determine prequalification. Only contractors prequalified as responsible, qualified entities will be eligible to bid on the Municipal Building Capital Repairs and Restoration project. Any bid submitted by a bidder that was not prequalified shall be rejected as being non-responsive. License Requirements: All bidders must have current North Carolina General Contractor licenses with the appropriate classification for all work of the project at the time of the bid.
