Location: Devils Lake Service Center 824 Hwy 20 S, Devils Lake ND 58301 Delivery: 08/16/2024 Asphalt Crack Sealing" includes the following: a. Prepare, clean, and seal all cracks in the bituminous pavement greater than or equal to 1/8 inch in width or as recommended by the sealing manufacturer. b. All cracks and joints shall be cleaned with compressed air to remove all dust, dirt, and debris prior to sealing. The cracks shall also be free of moisture prior to sealing, Clean cracks shall be filled from the bottom up to avoid entrapping air and forming air pockets or sealant bridging. c. Spalled areas along cracks shall be removed prior to sealing. d. The crack sealant shall be a hot-applied, petroleum-based pavement crack and joint sealant and shall be equal to Crafco Roadsaver 522. Upon cooling, a viscosity which prevents track by traffic shall be obtained. e. Work will be performed during normal working hours of 7:00 am to 4:00pm, Monday -Thursday unless other work schedules are pre-authorized by the WAPA onsite representative. The work site is adjacent to a high voltage electrical substation that will be energized during the duration of the performance of this contract. At no time shall the contractor bring any items within 11'-2" feet of an energized conductor. All work will be performed under all OSHA guidelines, and the most current WAPA Power System Safety Manual. Special attention will be made to equipment used in close proximity to high voltage electric substations. The onsite WAPA representative will discuss and approve the work methods. The Contractor is to wear the proper PPE, at a minimum, hard hat, long pants and shirt. f. The successful contractor is required to perform the maintenance tasks as listed, including all labor, equipment, material, and supervision to complete the job according to the statement of work. 48 hours' notice must be given to WAPA before start of project.
