Question Deadline 11/14/2024 at 11:00 AM CT The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts provide laborers and mechanics on covered contracts the right to receive at least the locally prevailing wages (including fringe benefits), as determined by the Department of Labour, for the type of work performed. The Wage and Hour Division and respective federal contracting agencies accept complaints of alleged Davis-Bacon violations. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total estimated contract amount for each individual school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that may exceed $100K. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to submit a performance and/or labor bond, Cashier's or Certified Check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total estimated contract amount for the project, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that exceeds $100K. The successful Bidder accepts this contract with the understanding that should they fail to complete the work/delivery in an acceptable manner and in the time stated, shall be subject to the payment of liquidated damages as stated in the bid document. Liquidated damages for this project are as follows: $500.00 /per day substantial completion deadline missed, and $500.00/per day completion deadline missed. Scbe Reserves the Right To Contract in the Best Interest of Scbe, and To Reject Any and All Bids at Any Time Prior to Award. The work shall begin after issuance of the "Notice to Proceed. Estimated start time is 2/01/2025. The substantial completion date is 6/30/2025 and a final completion date of 7/30/2025 The Scope of Work for the White Station High School Auditorium Sound & Stage Lighting Upgrades shall include and not be limited to the following SOUND SYSTEM: DESIGN-BUILD. Demo and replace all existing sound systems and appurtenances, one is to one, with an equivalent and/or better system. Provide new cabling, connectors, and hardware. Provide and deliver handheld (3) wireless microphone transmitters. Front Center of Auditorium - provide and install (1 ) new 10" 2-way passive loudspeaker, including connectors, cabling and rigging hardware. Back Section of Auditorium-provide and install (3) 10" 2-way passive loudspeakers, white, including connectors, cabling and rigging hardware. Provide 2-CH 2500/1700/1000W, 2/4/8 ohms amplifier; Electrical Works; Check and utilize all electrical circuits, wiring/cabling and hardware. Provide (1) floor pocket (location to be identified on site), cables and connectors and all similar appurtenances. LIGHTING SYSTEM: DESIGN-BUILD. Demo/remove all theatrical light fixtures. Install new fixtures provided by MSCS. Contractor to install connectors, wiring and hardware. Controls - eliminate dimmer panel. Provide a stand-alone system based on the show baby multiverse lighting control system. Contractor to provide a multiverse transmitter compatible with the controls provided by MSCS. New Stage Light Mounting - provide and install 1.5"0 black iron pipe conduit, including rigging hardware. Front Lighting -remove all theatrical light fixtures and lamps in catwalk. MSCS has six (6) spotlights. Contractor to install, wire, connect, and test accordingly. Back Lighting -remove all theatrical light fixtures. MSCS will provide twelve (12) lighting fixtures. Contractor to install, wire, connect, and test accordingly. Fluorescent Stage work lights -replace with LED lighting including ballasts and housing. Electrical works - Licensed Electrical Contactor/Electrician required. Addendum #1 has been issued as of 11-14-2024. Q&A document has been issued as of 11-19-2024.
