It is the City's intent that the successful Firm will be involved for the full duration of the design development, preparation of construction and bidding documents, and construction administration phases of the project. The successful Firm, its subsidiaries, parent entities, partners, other entities that share common ownership or control, and/or any subconsultant firms utilized for this project, are prohibited from bidding on the construction phase of this project. A general description of the scope of work for this project is provided below. The goal of this project is to design the relocation of an existing 16" waterline crossing Wellborn Road at Grove Street that has been identified as a waterline conflict with TxDOT improvements in Wellborn Road. Additional SUE may be necessary to confirm no additional conflicts previously unidentified. The relocation includes approximately 275 linear feet of a 16" diameter water distribution line, and all excavation, pipe, bedding, backfill, site restorations and appurtenances with and without steel casing using open cut and trenchless methods. Coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation and Union Pacific Railroad will be required. The consultant shall provide design and construction phase services which may include preparing plans specification and estimates, as well as bid and contract documents, construction materials testing, permit applications, and attending meetings.
