The Work of this project provides for the furnishing of all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, and plant, and the performing of all Work in accordance with these specifications and drawings, with exception of work that is expressly and specifically not included in the project. The project consists of one (1) contract. SDVOB 6%. BASE BID work shall include, but not be limited to: Remove and replace existing bus wash systems at three maintenance facilities: Cold Springs, Babcock and Frontier. Bus washes have been procured from state contract by the NFTA. Contractor is responsible for installation and to coordinate with manufacturer (Westmatic, Scott Witter, scott.witter@westmatic.com 866-747-4567 ext. 109) on installation and testing. The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period. Bid security must accompany each bid and, if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00, must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price. The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the Work with its own forces. The MBE (Minority-Owned Business Enterprises), WBE (Women-Owned Business Enterprises), and SDVOB (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business) Goals are as follows: MBE 7%, WBE 7% and SDVOB 6%. The time of completion for the project is 221 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified as described in Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 "Summary of Work".
