ONLY CONTRACTORS who have completed the prequalification process within the stated time limits, and which are properly licensed for this type of work in accordance with criteria established by the state Licensing Board for General Contractors under the Provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for prequalification for the Work of this project. SCOPE OF WORK includes but is not limited to Architectural, Storefront, and Structural. Demolition of the existing windows. Replacing the windows with a new Aluminum Storefront. Providing new prefinished metal soffits and lintel liners. Demolition of existing CMU walls around old mechanical rooms in building D as shown. Demolition of the recessed floor in B and new structural floor infill as shown. Removal of exterior studs and replacement with new cold form studs as noted on drawings. Fireproofing between floors in buildings B, C, and D. The Contractor of this work shall work in conjunction with the Phase one demolition project noted above and with the other future (phase 3) contractor(s) that will be building out Buildings A, B, C, and D. It should be expected that these multiple projects will overlap in schedule requiring coordination of all the separate contractors working on the Executive Park site. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
