Site work and renovation of a power facility in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility; and for site work for a power facility.

RES Project #: 20157 Project No: 00475830 The work consists of the decontamination, teardown, and removal of the equipment, piping, electrical facilities, and above ground structures associated with Units 31/32/33 at the Dallman Power Plant and the Lakeside Power Plant. This includes the legal disposal of all debris and waste generated from the Site. All asbestos must be abated and the following items must be disposed of in compliance with environmental regulations: contaminated soil, hazardous building materials, electrical transformers, oil containing equipment, and universal wastes from the Site. o Decontaminate and abate the selected structures, o Dismantle/teardown the selected structures, o Where practical, crush all brick, block, non-hazardous refractory and concrete rubble resulting from the removal work described above down to 3-inches or less for use as fill on Site, o Capping the cooling water inlet and outlet structures, and o Grading the Site to promote drainage and run-off to selected outfall locations and final dressing of the ground surface to present a uniform surface and reduce ponding. "IMPORTANT: Only those Contractors pre-qualified through RFQ UE24-30 will be considered for award of this contract. Any other submissions will be returned without review to the submitting entity." The Deadline for questions is Monday, July 1, 2024 by 12:00 p.m. All questions concerning this bid shall be submitted directly in the City of Springfield Vendor Bids Portal at https://www.springfield.il.us/Departments/OBM/PurchasingHome.aspx#Opportunities. Proposals will not be considered unless they are accompanied by bid security in the form of a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, Bank Draft, Bank Money Order, or a Satisfactory Bid Bond in the sum of 2% of the total bid. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Certified Female and Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals for this project. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. Bid date description: Please note, there is a $25.00 processing fee for all proposals submitted in a hard copy format
