For the furnishing of all labor and materials, and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the construction of the 2024 Street Paving Improvements. The project includes the Milling, base repair, and asphalt overlay on certain roads, drives and/or lots within the City of Clinton, MS The Contract Time will be seventy five (75) consecutive calendar days, and the liquidated damages will be $500 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. Bids received by bidders to whom the Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened. State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid. Any bid submitted by a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor's current state law shall be rejected and not considered for award. Bids will be considered by the City of Clinton at or before the next regular meeting thereof to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids. The City of Clinton reserves the right to waive all informalities in the bidding and to reject all bids. **Bids for this work will only be accepted by bidders who have been issued documents by the engineer and been recorded as a plan holder.
