Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newington, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of July 10,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on July 16,2024. The Town of Newington, NH is soliciting proposals for roadway paving. Proposals shall be based on a per ton price, itemized with estimated tonnage by proposed streets. The intent of this bid is to hire a contractor to resurface a portion of Shattuck Way in the Town of Newington. Location and Specifications: Shattuck Way from construction joint near River Road to joint near Newington Energy, approximately 2,600 LF. 36-feet of pavement width shall be provided through the work limits. 1. Installation of temporary erosion control measures at catch basin and adjacent to wetlands where as needed. 2. Repair roadside drainage swales and roadway shoulders to ensure that positive drainage away from roadway system is maintained as needed. 3. Remove all utility manholes that have been abandoned. Manhole concrete covers shall be removed. Bottom of structure crushed. Structure to be removed to 30-inches below finish grade. Structure to be backfilled and compacted with crushed gravel. 4. Reset all existing vertical granite curb in work limits to have 7-inch reveal. Curb to be backfilled with 3,000 psi concrete. 5. Reclamation of existing roadway, a minimum of 10" depth from construction joint near River Road to joint near Newington Energy, approximately 2,600 LF. Add 150 lb/sy of crushed stone to base and grade roadway base to 2.5 to 3% cross slope. Roadway is superelevated in areas. Contractor shall follow existing roadway crown. 6. Construct sawcut joints at roadway and driveway intersections. Work shall extend 10- feet down roadways and 5-feet down driveways. Driveways and roads shall have smooth transitions. Install joint sealer. 7. Adjust all gate valves, manhole covers, catch basins to finish grade. 8. Install joint sealer at all pavement cold joints. 9. Install tack coat between pavement courses. 10. Wearing course shall be milled to create a smooth transition 5 feet beyond milling limits. 11. Installation of 2.5" base course. 12. Installation of 2.0" binder course 50 gyration winter mix. 13. Installation of 1.5 inches wearing course 50 gyration. 14. Loaming, seeding and revegetating of disturbed areas. 15. Remove temporary erosion control measures after disturbed areas are stabilized. 16.
