GC Budget: 100,000 SED CONTROL NO: 49-17-00-01-0-012-018 The work at Troy Middle School includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of existing underground / under slab piping and associated slab removal, trenching, backfill, slab replacement and finishes reconstruction. See specifications for additional information. The Board of Education of the Enlarged City School District of Troy invites the submission of Separate Sealed Bid Proposals to furnish materials and labor to complete the Reconstruction and Alterations at Troy Middle School project all in accordance with the plans and specifications for the following categories of work: General Construction. Any bid may be withdrawn without prejudice prior to the official bid opening time or any publicized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date stated above will be returned to the bidder unopened. Each Bidder shall prepare their bid proposal, along with a bid security, in accordance with the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the "Information for Bidders". Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the date of the actual bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bid either before or after the bid opening. SCOPE OF WORK A. Drawings and specifications are complementary and must be so interpreted to determine the full scope of work under this section. Wherever any material, article, operation or method is either specified or shown on the drawings, this Contractor is required to provide each item and perform each prescribed operation according to the designated quality, qualification or condition, furnishing all necessary labor equipment and incidentals. B. Specifically included, without limiting the generality of drawings and specifications are: 1. Connections to and from site utilities at 5 outside of structure unless otherwise noted. 2. Sanitary, storm drainage and vent lines. 3. Connection to existing sewer mains. 4. Excavation and backfill for interior and exterior piping and structures. 5. Remove existing plumbing piping where indicated. 6. Tests: This contractor shall furnish materials, equipment and labor and shall perform all work of testing of the plumbing systems as outlined hereinafter. Testing procedure shall include installation tests and operating tests.
