The estimated bid amount is $500,000.00. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. A performance bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, as well as a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total contract price. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town of Spencer Unless otherwise expressly provided, the Contractor shall secure and pay for all permits and fees, licenses and inspections necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work which are customarily secured after execution of the Agreement and which are legally required at the time the bids are received, and the same shall at all times be the property of the Owner and shall be delivered to the Owner upon completion of the Project. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27G, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the bidder, before bid opening, to request any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract FY 2025 Parking Lot Paving Scope of Work: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and insurance to perform all work required for the project known as the 2024 PARKING LOT PAVING - Town Hall, Senior Center, and Fire Department Project, in strict accordance with the Contract Documents and all related Drawings and Specifications. The said Documents, Specifications, Drawings, and any GENERAL SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS are incorporated herein by reference and are made a part of this Agreement. 1.1 Intent of the Contract Documents. The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Documents are complementary to one another, and all requirements of each Document shall apply to produce indicated results.
