This project establishes an open-end contract for the supply and delivery of Sodium Chloride (Roadway Salt) for the use in snow and ice control on the West Virginia Turnpike. The Contractor shall be responsible for the supply and delivery of the salt to the Chelyan, Standard, Beckley, Ghent, and Princeton maintenance facilities in Kanawha, Raleigh, and Mercer counties. One Contract per county will be issued. Total estimated salt quantity to be delivered is as follows: 3,000 tons for Kanawha County 12,000 tons for Raleigh County 1,500 tons for Mercer County This contract term will extend through June 30, 2025. This contract may be renewed upon the mutual written agreement between the West Virginia Parkways Authority and the Contractor. The renewal period shall be limited to five (5) successive one-year term renewals. Proposals Must Be Made Upon the Forms Furnished by the Authority in the Manner Designated in the Specifications, and Must Be Enclosed in Sealed Envelopes Bearing the Name and Address of the Bidder and the Number of the Contract on the Outside, and Must Be Accompanied by a Cashier's or Certified Check Or Bid Bond in Favor of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, for an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Amount of the Proposal or $2,000 Whichever is the Greater, and Must Be Delivered at the Place Designated Above on or Before the Day and Hour Named.
