Range:$500001-750000 Title of Project: The Urban Assembly Bronx Academy of Letter / X551 (X493) (Bronx) Description: Walk-in Refrigerators and Freezers *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The project is located at: 339 Morris Avenue, Bronx, NY 10451 (the "Site"). Performance Period: 365 Continuous Calendar Days Liquidated Damages: Five Hundred ($500) Dollars per Continuous Calendar Day and as set forth in the Construction. All questions by prospective bidders concerning this solicitation should be directed to rfimentor@nycsca.org, in writing at least three (3) business days prior to the originally scheduled. 1. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on the form attached to the Construction Contract as Appendix C or a certified check of the Bidder, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Bid Amount, duly executed by the Bidder as principal, and having as surety thereon a company authorized to do business in New York State and approved by the SCA. 2. Immediately upon receipt of Notice of Intent to Award Letter/Signature Page to the Construction Contract, the successful Bidder shall furnish to the SCA and maintain during the term of the contract, at its own cost and expense a Construction Performance Bond in an amount at least equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as security for faithful performance of the Contract; and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount at least equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract price for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under the contract or furnishing materials in connection with the Contract. The surety on such bonds shall be a company authorized to do business in the State of New York and approved by the SCA. 3. Attorneys-in-fact who sign said bonds on behalf of a surety must affix to each bond a certified copy of their power of appointment, indicating the effective period.
