New Hanover County's Recycling & Solid Waste Department provides services for recycling services to all county operated facilities and enrolled multi-family residences. This includes 95-gallon carts and/or 4 or 8 yard dumpster options in various locations and quantities. Pickup will be on a weekly basis and hauled to the Materials Recovery Facility located at 3002 US HWY 421N in Wilmington, NC 28401. Pick-ups are scheduled weekly and will be billed on a monthly basis. Contractor shall provide the collection containers to our facilities. Damaged containers shall be replaced or repaired by the Contractor. Contractor will pay all tipping fees. Billing is currently through Sonoco Recycling. Questions should be submitted no later than Thursday, June 13, 2024, by end of business day. An addendum summarizing all questions and answers will be posted to the County's website by close of business on Monday, June 17, 2024. Vendors who have notified the County of their intent to submit a proposal along with an email address will be sent the addendum upon posting. Owner Rights: New Hanover County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals and to make the Award which will be in the best interest of the County. The initial contract period will begin on the date of a fully executed contract through June 30, 2027. The contract may be renewed for two (2) additional one-year periods with the consent of both parties ending June 30, 2029. The County shall notify the Vendor within 60 days of itsintent to renew the contract and execute a renewal agreement to be signed by the Vendor.
